Colin and Laine met on a dating app five years ago. At the time, they were living in different states: Colin in Missouri and Laine in Minnesota. They spent the next eight months getting to know each other through texts and FaceTime calls before finally meeting in person and letting their hearts confirm what their screens had only hinted at.

Since then, they’ve been weaving a beautiful life together in Minnesota, filled with travel, sun-drenched lake days, and the love they share with their two rescue dogs. Though they haven’t quite chosen which side of the Twin Cities to plant their roots, they’re savoring the adventure of building a home not just in a place, but in each other.
